Meet Our Leadership

Piqua Christian Church feels like family. I love interacting with the kiddos and seeing them learn and get excited about church! Plus, we have amazing volunteers!

I feel that it is my responsibility to train and

encourage our volunteers. Therefore, they teach, train, and lead our children. I truly

believe that it takes a village to raise a child

and I am humbled that PCC KIDS has been

entrusted to be a part of that village.

I love reading, colored pens, and organizing. I also love to hang out, play games, and drink coffee with my

friends and family!

PCC is the church of my childhood. I am so pleased to be serving it now, in my adult life, in the various ways I do. I never cease to be amazed at our people’s desire to grow spiritually and their unceasing generosity of heart, talent, and resources. We truly are a Family of God.

As a Family Group leader, I am able to teach and guide conversations that help the members of my group understand God’s word more clearly and discover how it applies to their lives. We also learn to rely on and care for each other as share our struggles with one another.

And a Connections Team member, it is my responsibility and joy to be available to pray with people in all stages of their relationship with God; from not-yet-believers to newer Christians to longtime followers; from those who are seeking God’s wisdom and/or help to those who are celebrating the help He has already provided. It is a privilege to be part of a team that is spotlighting the need for prayer in our lives and the tremendously powerful resource that it is.

As a vocalist in the Praise and Worship team, I am blessed to help lead our body of believers closer to the throne of God so that they may better hear from Him through the songs, communion meditation time, and message. This position also allows me to be honest and vulnerable to our people as I am sometimes led to share with them what God has placed on my heart. I am always moved when I hear our whole church singing as one in praise to Almighty God. And they sound great!!

In my position as elder, I am sometimes able to be a helpful confidant as individuals share their triumphs, tragedies, and struggles with me. I am able to speak into their specific situations through my own experience and, more importantly, through whatever wisdom God has chosen to share with  me. I am also part of the team of people who seek God’s direction for our vision and plans for the future of our church. This is a humbling calling that has served to grow my love for our Family exponentially.

I enjoy strolling through antique stores and flea markets. I am also quite fond of LEGOs and have a modest collection.

The people here at PCC are authentic and truly want to grow in their faith. There is a good balance between being "invited" into community and growth as well as a "challenge" to serve and care for each

other and the town.

In my position here at PCC, I have the privilege of being one of the main communicators. I get to cast vision, create language, train, and encourage our church family to believe in the identity God has given us to be image bearers.

My hobbies include; reading, playing guitar, UK sports, playing board games, going out to eat with friends, and watching TV with my dog Cocoa.

I enjoy serving others and seeing them grow. Whether it's seeing the kids I teach grow in their understanding or adults growing in their faith, I love seeing and experiencing that growth with them.

I believe that my position is a place of service to whomever God puts in front of me. It is not about a title, but about how can we help others with our time and talents that God gives us. If I can live that out in my life to not only our church family, but to anyone in our community, then hopefully I have helped someone to do the same.

I love serving at PCC because of the people. Whether I'm in PCC Youth or hanging with the adults, they are always so real & authentic. We're all just messed up humans trying to pursue God each and everyday. We don't always get it right, but there's real relationships to encourage & support each other.

Serving our Youth is crucial to not only the growth of PCC but of the church as a whole. Teaching the truth in the midst of today's society is so important as they are at an age of figuring out who they are and who they belong to. It is the foundation of their Christian walk and it's an honor being a part of that process.

Whether it's a first time guest, someone ready to make the next step in their faith, or connecting @ PCC, the Connections Team is where it happens. Leading a team that's welcoming, genuinely cares, intentionally prays, and guides people closer to God is an awesome & humbling position.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors by fishing, kayaking, hiking, riding my motorcycle, or building things in the garage. I love spending time with my family & friends going to concerts, running 5K's, playing games & exploring new activities. And anytime spent with my pets is always a win!

It is exciting to see people open to the leading of the Spirit in their life. It makes me want to be more open

to it as well.

As leaders, we get to cast a vision that allows others to come alongside and fulfill the mission of their lives

as well.
